It is reported that Martin Luther read the entire Bible twice a year. By the age of 30 he had memorized all of the New Testament, the Psalms, and other parts of the Old Testament. Luther felt it was important for all Christians to know the Bible and especially to live it. He translated the Bible into German, the language of the people, so they could do exactly that.
On October 31, 2017 it will be the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. This marks the date when Luther nailed his 95 Theses on the church door at Wittenberg. Join Lutherans throughout the country for Crafted Daily: A Reformation Reading Plan (see video). The goal is to read the entire Bible between now and October 31, 2017.
